At Blockheating we’re committed to work towards a fully sustainable data center sector by 2030. In the past years, we have proven our technology and are now on the point of scaling. In the first months, planning and execution of our sales is your top priority. Over time, your team will grow, you have it in you to create, coach and guide stir this new team so that together you can excel.
You will be part of the management team of 5 and report directly to the CEO.
Who we are:
The goal of Blockheating is to facilitate sustainable data center infrastructure. We design and build (together with partners) compact data centers that will be operated in the edge of the network. In combination with our optimized cooling solution, we’re able to deliver hot water (60 degrees) and offer bare metal hosting at a competitive price point.
Up to now our main focus was technology development and engineering. With our first location in place now it is time that we add the commercial organization.
Locations: Office in Heerlen; warehouse and demo location in Venlo.
What you’ll be doing:
- Take ownership of Blockheating’s commercial strategy.
- Start developing our go-to-market, incorporating the current and future technology options.
- Identify and connect with the low-hanging fruit and convert these into clients.
- Ensure that the technical development (IT and hardware-wise) fits with the current and future demand.
- Your responsibilities include setting up meetings with clients and stakeholders, influencing the decision-making process, as well as negotiating terms among prospective partners.
- You are an ambassador internally and externally and represent Blockheating’s values at all times.
- Proven track record with building international sales processes with local partners.
- A leader with positive energy, able to show perseverance in long, complex sales cycles and successfully the decision process with all stakeholders, both at employee and management level.
Who we’re looking for:
- An inspiring and motivating people manager with a hands-on mentality, not afraid to act when needed.
- Someone who naturally motivates, coaches, inspires, and stimulates.
- Experience of 10 years with scaling commercial processes.
- We are looking for someone who is able to understand the Technical solutions and demands of clients.
- The ideal person is outgoing, a good networker, and a presenter.
- You have worked a minimum of 5 years in the IT sector (Datacenters, hosting, cloud)
- You are fluent in both English & Dutch.
- A person with a strong passion to change the perspective on sustainable datacenters with our technological solutions.
